Peligoni trip
Category: Holiday
We’ve booked Peligoni again as our Watersports / Chill out holiday in late June, in villas attached to the Beach club and to the unspoilt north-eastern tip of Zakynthos.
Write up of last year’s holiday by Nell with photos at http://www.hooleytimesocialevents.com/2011/06/30/hooleytime-group-holiday-peligoni-the-inside-story-2/
We are taking one large villa ‘Zaharoula’ and also rooms at ‘Mimis’.
Mimis doesn’t have a pool — but you are close to Zaharoula and will be able to use these and the Beach Club. Last year we spent most of the days at the Beach and Watersports Club and split the evenings between bbqs at the villa, parties at the club and local restaurants.
The Club is perched on a rocky outcrop overlooking Kephalonia. The Club has a restaurant, bar and watersports facilities.
Beach Membership entitles you to use of the pool, sunbeds, towel service, the tennis court, and group fitness sessions.
Watersports membership includes all the above as well as unlimited Sailing, Windsurfing and Kayaking, all with one to one instruction and full rescue cover. Waterskiing is extra.
Zaharoula
Zaharoula is a very large villa within walking distance to the club. There is a main courtyard, which is the principle outdoor eating area with a large dining table and a built-in barbeque. Through the main entrance is the spacious living area with a large open plan kitchen, dining table and ample amounts of seating. Downstairs is the second living area with a colourful variety of sofas and chairs with beautiful views towards the swimming pool and beyond. The swimming pool is surrounded by a large sun terrace decked out with comfy sun loungers and parasols offering plenty of shade for an English rose!
All rooms have their own bathrooms.
Facilities: air conditioning, music system, BBQ, swimming pool, air conditioning, mid-week cleaning
Mimis
Mimis is a lovely, family run bed and breakfast with fantastic views over Agios Nikolaos port and out to Kephalonia. Mimis is incredibly popular for fuss-free accommodation. These are simple, clean studios. This accommodation is a short walk to the club and Zaharoula.
Each room has air conditioning and an en-suite bathroom. The rooms are large, airy and very clean. Each room has either a balcony or a terrace, and you can either have breakfast here or at Zaharoula.
Prices vary depending on which villa / apartments you stay in, whether you choose your own room and whether you join the watersports club for the week!
If you would like to come on this holiday, do have a look at www.peligoni.com to get a visual idea of the club.
When you sign up, please let me know which option you would like.
Prices below include accommodation, breakfasts, fruit supply, water supply, snacks, transfers from and to the airport on the Island, ferrying around when needed, watersports membership, HT hosting and entertainment…
You need to put down a deposit of £150 to secure your place for this holiday.

Friends of members welcome — additional £60 fee on any of the above options.
There are limited rooms of each so bear this in mind when you book – Single supplement double rooms in Villa are now full up, but you can have your own room at Mimis.
For lunches, you can either picnic at the villa or eat at the club
For suppers, we either do BBQs (split the cost of the food) or go to local tavernas, which are good value and main course around £10.
The remaining cost will be your flights, which have been selling at around £228 currently and which you need to book yourself!
